Víctor Toscano Durán

👨‍🎓 Statistician specialized in Artificial Intelligence, with two years of exeperience as data scientist, and currently researching at University of Seville.

I am a passionate data scientist with a strong academic background and experience in the fields of mathematics and artificial intelligence. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics at the University of Seville in 2022. Later, I obtained a Master’s Degree in Logic, Computing, and Artificial Intelligence in 2023, also at the University of Seville, with a thesis focused on predicting glucose levels using artificial intelligence. Shortly afterward, I started working as a data scientist at FISEVI, where I performed data analysis. At the end of 2022, I briefly worked as a software developer at Solera before joining Igluco Tech, where I developed deep learning models for non-invasive blood glucose prediction, as well as analyzing data, until December 2023.

Since then, I have been a pre-doctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics I at the University of Seville, participating in the European project REXASI-PRO. My work focuses on optimizing energy consumption in the detection of people and wheelchairs using the YOLO object detection and localization model, employing data reduction techniques. Additionally, I contribute to improving the behavior of robot fleets through topological methods. In parallel, I am pursuing my PhD in Mathematics at the same university, with research aimed at improving the reliability of neural networks by applying topological data analysis.

Currently, I am an active member of CIMAGROUP research group and have contributed with presentations at conferences and publications in areas such as machine learning and topological analysis. I have also obtained relevant certifications in the field of data science, including NVIDIA certifications in deep learning and data science.

My focus goes beyond merely acquiring knowledge; I am committed to continuous learning and constant improvement. My enthusiasm for mathematics and AI is reflected in my dedication to challenging projects and my ability to tackle complex problems with innovative solutions.
